Dear colleagues, dear friends
On behalf of the local Organizing Committee, I would like to extend a warm invitation to the 18th European Turbulence Conference, which will take place from September 4 to 6 2023 in València, Spain.
Plenary lectures, keynote lectures, mini-symposia, workshops, and oral presentations will make up the program, all delivered by distinguished invited speakers, active academics and researchers in the field of turbulent flows, and promising members of our scientific community, either students or young scientists.
Alongside the technical program, participants will enjoy València, the third city of Spain in terms of the urban population, after Madrid and Barcelona. Located on the Mediterranean coast of Spain, it was founded by Decimus Junius Brutus in 138BC, on the location of a preceding Iberian town. The remains of its 2.000 years of history can still be found in various parts of the city, with an 8km long beach or one of the largest lagoons in Europe. This makes València an ideal destination at any time of year. In September, average temperatures are around 30º with little or no rain.
We look forward to welcoming you to Spain, a country widely known for its hospitality, cuisine, and history. We are sure you will have unforgettable memories of ETC18.
Prof. Sergio Hoyas, on behalf of the organising committee
